“Joy to the world! The Lord is come!” I am not well acquainted with joy, but know fleeting happiness well. Of recent times during dark moments I’ve begun to invite God’s loving presence in. I then notice the undercurrent of my life as blessing-filled and love-driven. This is the joy that I know of. It is also a time that “The Lord is Come.”

I believe that: Joy transcends circumstances. It is not transitory like happiness. It is a deep knowingness of being God’s beloved, and in turn being able to love freely. Christ brought us this knowledge. So “Let (us on) earth receive her King.”
