If you have an interest in improving Community UCC’s ability to encourage the health of our members, this free workshop from the Eastern NC Association of the Southern Conference United Church of Christ might be a great place to get started.  Better yet, ask another person or two from Community UCC to join you so you can share ideas afterward.

The workshop is designed for clergy and lay people and will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon.

Description of this ENCA Educational Day

A need that has become evident as we’ve struggled together through the COVID pandemic this past year is for churches to have a robust health ministry. This educational event will offer information about how to begin and maintain a health ministry in your church, what your church can do to help fight COVID, and how to help people in your community access vaccines.

Aly Breisch will discuss beginning and sustaining a parish health ministry. A representative from N.C. Council of Churches and N.C. Department of Health and Human Services will talk about how churches can help with the continued fight against COVID, including helping people get access to vaccines.

How to register

The event is free, to encourage all churches to attend with as many people who choose to join us from their congregation. However, we would still like for you to register here.   The zoom link for the event will be published closer to the event.
