December is a month of expectations and hope in the life of our church. For a treasurer, though it is also a month filled with more than a few budget worries. Jeanne Ledbetter, our Assistant Treasurer, is now mailing out pledge status letters to give each of you a sense of where you are in your 2022 pledge commitments. As we entered December, we were about $40,000 short of our 2022 pledge goal. Luckily, we’ve had a good year in other sources of revenue, but we still need members to honor their pledge commitments to keep the year in the black.

At the same time, as we look to the coming year, we are around $45,000 short of the pledge goal needed to balance the 2023 budget presented at the November Congregational Meeting. We know we are losing one large pledging unit but if you can see fit to increase your family’s pledge, by 5 percent, we’ll be fine. God is not broke and neither are we. You can make or update your pledge online here. Thank you so very much.

Your worried, but hope filled Treasurer, Bill Lamb.
