NewsBlues Poetry Monday Lunch Group

Robert Hayden, the first African American poet laureate, is best known for his poems related to the depression era period in Detroit. Thus, the name “blues poetry”.

As a celebration of Black History Month, the Monday Lunch group invites you to a presentation of this poetic genre. This program will be presented by Mr. Kelvin Mosley, who is a member of the Wake Federation of the Blind.

This event will be held on Monday, February 19. As Kelvin will begin his presentation around 1:00, you are invited to bring your lunch and join us for fellowship around 12:15. After a brief time of prayer and meditation, our special program will start.

This open ended celebration will be held in the fellowship hall of the church.
