You may have noticed the large holes that appeared a few weeks ago on the Dixie Trail side of CUCC’s property. They were not created by dogs the size of ponies but were part of a landscaping project designed by Mac Hulslander. Mac donated seven Japanese maple trees that will beautify our property, especially when they turn bright red in the fall. One of the trees is taking root near the driveway entrance while the other six will eventually create an “allée” at the entrance to the Memorial Meditation Garden. Mac has also planted milkweed in a tilled area at the back of the fire pit area that will provide much-needed food for migrating butterflies. And when he has some spare time, Mac will put the finishing touches on a rock retaining wall at the entrance to the Wade Ave. parking lot. Thanks for all your work, Mac!
