If you went to Out! Raleigh Pride on Saturday, did you stop by our table? Community UCC joined our friends at Good Shepherd UCC, greeting festival goers and inviting them to worship with us. Good Shepherd brought necklaces to distribute, and we had rainbow ribbons. We also had a station where visitors could make their own beaded bracelet- a big hit!
As volunteer Leslie Shaip wrote: “Pride was a blast. A few different groups of kids told us it was their first Pride and they had such a good time. It was heartwarming.”
Thank you to Alice, Beth, Etta, Leslie, Merrilee, Robert, Ryan, Sharon, and Skip for staffing the table and bringing your warm smiles.

Our presence at the festival was made possible by your donations to the ministries of Community UCC through our annual pledge campaign.
If you would like to help with the UCC table at next year’s festival, contact Charles Coble or Dawn Koonce, co-chairs of Community Outreach Ministry, outreach.cucc@gmail.com. We’re always looking for new ways to express God’s love.
