We welcome children of all ages in our worship services at Community UCC and we have a nursery available during the entire worship service, for infants, babies, and children as well. If you have questions or need any support in navigating Sunday mornings with your children or youth, please email anyone on the list at the bottom of the email or ask a pastor, or an usher on Sunday morning. Please share any ideas or advice with us as well. We are always open to adjusting and shaping the experience so that your whole family is as comfortable as possible at CUCC.
We gather for worship at 10:30 each week. If your child would like to read scripture or greet or usher or would like to provide any worship leadership role, please contact anyone on the list below. For those who appreciate something besides worship to engage with, each week crayons, paper, and children’s worship bulletins (with activities that relate to the gospel text) are available.
We share communion on the first Sunday of each month and all are welcome. Parents who want to share in this holy sacrament with their family can always choose to retrieve children from SS for communion in the sanctuary.
Toward the beginning of each worship service, there is a children’s message. Children can come forward or remain in their seats for it. Afterward, all children through 5th grade are invited to Children’s Sunday School down the hall.
Youth (6th-12th grade) gather for Sunday School on 2nd and 4th Sundays. Children and Youth have opportunities to gather periodically outside of the worship hour, for fellowship, service, adventures, and spiritual growth.
After worship each week, everyone enjoys fellowship together in our courtyard and fellowship hall.
We’re grateful for you and for your family at CUCC. Your presence is a blessing and your gifts and talents are treasured.
