NewsCome to the CUCC Party of Parties!
CUCC’s PoP will raise needed funds for our annual budget AND raise lots of fun as we fill our calendars with social events that will take place over the summer. Summer events are hosted by individual CUCC friends.

May 14 is the deadline for submitting the event you plan to host. We’re looking for folks to plan and host a gathering that will take place sometime between the middle of June and the middle of September. Please choose a specific date so your event can fit into your guests’ summer plans.
Think about what you might offer: a movie night in your backyard, a hike in the woods, a picnic at the park, a summer canning class, an elegant wine tasting or meal. How many people can you accommodate and where will you hold your event? Your party could even take place at church or over Zoom! After you’ve submitted the donation form, be sure to reserve a date and space with Jeff Cole in the office at office.cucc@gmail.com.
Pricing for your event should take into account both reasonable affordability for your guests AND a reasonable return for the church given the donation of time, energy and goods it will take to host your party. If you need help finding just the right idea, price or description for your event, please reach out to Susan Atkinson  booatkinson@mac.com
Also! The rumors are true, we will indeed have a cake walk! We need homemade cakes, pies, cookies or other treats for the cake walk. Should it be renamed the “all manner of baked goods walk?” No, we’re going old school with this one. Here’s your chance to make a special treat that will wow your church friends and help make PoP a success! Contact Jeanne Ledbetter  j.ledbetter72@gmail.com

What will our PoP evening be like?

All are invited to come to the fellowship hall on June 3 from 6-8pm to find out!  There will be time to peruse the list of parties and buy tickets to attend these summer events. The evening will be hosted by our exciting new emcees as we bid a fond farewell to Blip Scuppernong and Chuck Porterhouse. We’ll play new games together and laugh along the way! Good snacks, drinks for children and adults will be served. Childcare provided, but also this is a kid friendly evening of fun and games. $5 fee to enter comes with a raffle ticket. Thanks for taking this opportunity to contribute to fundraising at CUCC!
PoP is a new thing! Our PoP evening will be be full of surprises you won’t want to miss!
