NewsAdvent candles with communion bread and cup

Draw Near and let us worship together in peace!

December 5, the second Sunday of Advent, is our focus on peace.  We will light the second candle of the Advent wreath, welcome new members to our life together, and welcome all to Christ’s table for communion.

In the sanctuary, communion will be served in disposable cups, with self-serve stations in the front and rear of the sanctuary.  We’ll slip off our masks briefly when we eat together, then mask up again.  On the livestream, bring your own “bread and wine,” whether orange juice and a bagel or coffee and a cracker.

At Community United Church of Christ we practice an “open table,” meaning that you do not have to be a member of our church to participate. You don’t have to be baptized or have gone through a confirmation process. The only prerequisite is an open heart.
