Community Outreach Ministry serves at the Helen Wright Center – August 18

Our Community Outreach Ministry continues to provide opportunities for you to serve women in need at the Helen Wright Center. Between June 2023 and June 2024, the Helen Wright Center provided shelter to 356 women. Of these, 88 successfully transitioned into permanent housing. According to Urban Ministries, the organization responsible for the Helen Wright Center, “this success rate of about 25% highlights the meaningful difference your contributions make in the lives of these women. We are thrilled by these outcomes and grateful for the opportunity to assist so many in such a short span of time.” Given the increased number of women at the new facility, we are partnering again this year with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church to prepare and serve meals. Roger Manus is leading for CUCC on August 18, and the youth group will lead for us in December. If you are interested in participating in this ministry, please contact Charles Coble via Breeze, or email the church office for more information. office.cucc@gmail.com
