NewsIn happy colors of purple, lime green, and hot pink, the graphic announces the Constitution & Bylaws Revision Taskforce Update.

The Constitution & Bylaws Revision Taskforce continues its work toward presenting clear, updated, and unified governing documents for our church.

In the coming weeks, Council and Ministries will receive the sections of the proposed revisions that relate to their calling. Each group will also receive a set of guiding questions designed to help them evaluate how the proposed changes align with current practices and future Church and Ministry needs.

After receiving feedback from Council and Ministries, the Taskforce will incorporate revisions and prepare a full draft for congregational review. Opportunities for discussion, questions, and input will be provided. The Taskforce will incorporate what they have learned from the congregation as they prepare a draft for a subsequent congregational vote.

We are grateful for your prayers, your patience, and your commitment to the clarity of our Church’s governance. This work is an important part of strengthening our shared ministry as described in the visioning process, and we look forward to continuing it together.

A calendar of activities that have gone into this work can be seen in the graphic below.

A timeline of action on the revision begins in February 2026 and show that we are now entering consultation with those who do the work. During Lent 2027 the congregation will be invited to provide input. After Easter 2027 there will be two congregational meetings to deliberate and approve amendments.
