NewsClose Call Street Sticker

Local citizen advocacy group Oaks and Spokes is working to transform the status quo from “Eek! the roads are too dangerous!” to “Yes, you biped, YOU DESERVE to walk and ride safely on our streets.” In order to do this, the team needs data on near-miss experiences from real live human bipeds. Report close calls at this website: https://www.closecall.report/ Pedestrians, cyclists, scooter riders, wheelchair riders, and anyone else is invited to submit anonymously, and the location pins will be added to the open-source map.

Oaks and Spokes will compile local data to make the case for improved traffic safety and multimodal road planning at the City of Raleigh’s Vision Zero process.
No one should have to live in daily fear just for using their own God-given feet to locomote. Your simple “citizen expertise” can chip in towards making the streets safer for everyone.
