News13 CUCC members stand together awaiting the beginning of the CROP Walk. Title: $4000 raised for CROP Walk

A big thank you to CUCC walkers, donors and yard sale volunteers who raised $4,000 for the CROP Hunger Walk. Of that total, $1,500 came from the annual yard sale – our highest amount ever. Leftover yard sale items found new homes serving the community.  Carloads went to the Salvation Army Thrift Store, the Habitat ReStore, Green Chair Project, and Cause for Paws Thrift Store.  Hard-to-recycle items ,which charities do not accept, were taken to Anything with a Plug Recycling.

The remaining funds will be added to those of CROP Hunger Walks across the U.S. to support domestic and overseas food programs. Working together, we can create a world where no one goes to bed hungry.
