News1 woman and 4 men stand by the seal of Congress outside Rep. Ross's Raleigh office. Text: What is happening in Congress? What can we do at CUCC? July 13, noon, Bridge Room

The Do Justice Ministry invites you to a debriefing conversation with CUCCers who met recently with Representative Deborah Ross to discuss what she and we might do to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and Israel.

Sunday, July 13, noon

Bridge Room

Six members from the Do Justice Ministry met on May 28 with Congresswoman Deborah Ross regarding the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza due to the escalation of the war and the suffering in Israel and the West Bank. We were able to express our deep concerns and Ms. Ross spoke candidly about the difficulty of the situation both from the the U.S. position as an ally of Israel, and the lack of cohesion within Congress on this issue. On the positive side, she told us about a new Congressional resolution and some possibilities for international cooperation and action that could bring relief. In addition, the delegation learned of ways that we at CUCC can partner with other groups here in our area to make a difference..

Please join the delegation after worship on Sunday, July 13, noon to hear more about the discussion with Congresswoman Ross and some of the important news and information she shared with us.  For more information, contact Roger Manus (via Breeze or office.cucc@gmail.com).
