Postponed: CSA Farm Workday

Snow again, so we are delaying the farm workday until late February.  Contact Gary Smith smithgk@mindspring.com if you would like to be on the email list.

With extremely cold weather due this weekend, we’re moving the work day at Rocky Ridge Farm to Saturday, January 29, in the afternoon. If you’d like to be part of the fun at one of the Black Farmer to Church CSA farms, contact Gary Smith smithgk@mindspring.com.

Last time we cut old vines to allow new muscadine vines to be planted, with jobs for younger folks carrying cut vines and older ones wielding pruning tools. New tasks will be similarly low-skill and family-friendly. After a couple of hours of work, we’ll gather around the fire pit for a simple meal with meat and vegetarian options.

Times TBD – probably 2-5PM; confirm with Gary and get driving directions or discuss carpooling.
