Lectionary Lunch during the Season of Easter
April 7, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until May 20, 2021
A small group of 4-10 people explores the Bible readings for the week using the Revised Common Lectionary. Questions, insights, worldly wisdom, and doubts are welcome. No preparation is necessary. Simply come as you are. These discussions are open to the community. We are currently meeting on Zoom; contact Pastor Lacey lacey.cucc@gmail.com or check the Saturday Zoom email for the Zoom meeting information.
What is the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL)?
The RCL is a three-year cycle of weekly Bible selections. The selected readings are built around the seasons of the church year. Every week, there are four lections: a reading from the Hebrew Bible, a Psalm, an Epistle, and a Gospel Reading. We use the Sunday readings in the RCL as a focus for both worship services and for our lectionary discussion.
