Life & Faith
April 6, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
A simple question, but loaded with stories and emotions. Jesus spent his ministry around food – food miracles, food metaphors, the wrong people eating together or doing the wrong things at table or sitting at the wrong places. Even Jesus’ last meal echoes backward to meals eaten before escape and forward to a meal eaten risen.
So whom would you invite on a picnic? Let’s tell our stories of food and Spirit and prepare ourselves for the April 11 picnic at the NCMA Park.
Life & Faith, April 11, 7PM on Zoom
Jane Smith hosts; contact her if you have questions. smithjeg@mindspring.com The Zoom link will be in the Saturday Zoom email, or contact office.cucc@gmail.com.
More about Life & Faith
Life & Faith gathers on first Tuesdays, currently 7-8PM on Zoom, but hopefully one month soon in person at a local pub. Whoever shows up is welcome, so bring a friend. Jane Smith prepares a backup question (see above), but we start by inviting those attending to raise a question of the intersection of their life and their faith that has been nagging at them. We compare notes, share stories, and enjoy one another. In order to be a safe place for conversation, we keep what we hear in confidence.
More about Life & Faith
Life & Faith is an informal and fluid gathering for anyone who shows up. We will swap stories and questions about how we each are seeking to better connect what we believe with what we do day-to-day. The group chooses the topic, but Jane Smith (host) prepares a backup question just in case. What is said at Life & Faith stays at Life & Faith.
We’re gathering now on Zoom, but hope to return one day to a local pub or brewery.
Come. Bring a friend.
Zoom information is in the Saturday Zoom email. If you would like to join the conversation, contact Pastor Lacey at lacey.cucc@gmail.com. for the Zoom details.
