Life & Faith
February 5 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us for conversation about the intersection of the day-to-day with our faith. Anyone can bring a question for the group to mull over, but if no one does, Jane Smith provides a back up question (see below). Life & Faith is open to anyone who wants to come; drop in when you can, bring a friend. We meet on first Mondays. We have two rules at Life & Faith – Rule #1: Whatever is said at Life & Faith, stays among those who attended that evening.
February 5 back up question
Loneliness. How have you coped with it? How have people drawn you into relationships when you have been lonely? What are the positives about periods of loneliness? What do you think people don’t understand about loneliness as you experience it? What are the loneliest times of your week? How is CUCC offering connection to people (our members and those we have yet to meet) who are lonely? Are you a friend to a lonely person and, if so, how might CUCC support you in the ministry of friendship?
Where we meet
We meet at Transfer Co. Food Hall; parking is plentiful and well-lit. February 5 looks to be chilly (40 – brrr) so we will meet on the ground floor in a sunken area in the center of the food hall. There is an accessibility ramp that goes into the sunken area. Look for the red Life & Faith comma to find our table.
About food and beverage
With our new day, we may run into a few closed food vendors, but it looks like all of the vendors will be open. Arrive by 6:30PM if you want to buy food or beverage before our 7PM start. We are done promptly at 8PM. There is a free water dispenser under the stairs. If you do buy food or beverage, please tip generously; we hope to transform the impression that Christians are stingy tippers (Rule #2)!
If you are planning to come and are a little nervous about finding our group, email Jane Smith before Sunday for her cell number and you can call her when you get there. email@example.com
If you would like to receive a monthly reminder with the back up question, email Jane.
