February 16, 6:30PM, Zoom

CUCC wants to know—What’s your guilty pleasure? Join us for a fun evening of pancakes and conversation. This is your opportunity to indulge the night before the start of Lent (Ash Wednesday). The tradition dates back to 600AD when meat and animal products were banned during Lent.  Christians made pancakes to use up all their “unhealthy” items (butter, eggs, milk, sugar) in the kitchen pantry in advance of the more penitential observance of Lent.

You might want to consider what other special treats you can add to your pancake dinner to make it a real celebration… bacon, sausage, peanut butter, whipped cream? This is your excuse to have whatever your heart delights.

In the spirit of Mardi Gras, wear purple, green and gold headwear or beads!  Let’s delight in excesses together!
