When Community UCC planned our solar project, we included the goals of helping other congregations go solar, and seeding other solar projects by nonprofits.  We promised you we would tell you about exciting projects in the community that you could support.

Our good friends at St. Paul’s Christian Church are raising funds for a solar array at their church.  We are excited that they are building on our work, having committed $3600 as outreach seed money for arrays which serve low income communities and communities of color.  Both their 19.27 kW array and their seed project are more ambitious than ours – exactly what we had hoped!

So, if you still delight in supporting solar projects, consider making a donation.  Donations are due by April 30.

Read the details of their array and their overall project here.

You can donate through their website.  Send your questions directly to them care of Cathy Cralle-Jones whom some of us know from our joint Lenten choir.

If you would like to work with them on fostering solar projects in low income communities and communities of color, contact Jane Smith who plans to be part of that work.
