Joan McAllister’s term as Deacon is a one-year term ending December 2021.
Joan came to Community UCC in 1992 as a wounded Presbyterian, fell in love with the UCC and never looked back. Now, 30 years later she reminisces about the pillars of the church way back when and is stunned to be one of the modern old fogies. Joan almost qualifies as a crazy cat lady with one resident couch potato and three feral cats who tolerate her to varying degrees. She loves to play bridge online and in person, participates in demonstrations for social justice. Joan is preparing to move to Whitaker Glen prior to getting her second knee replacement. Joan can be bossy but she means well.
