Tucked between the sanctuary and Wade Avenue, the Memorial Meditation Garden at Community United Church of Christ is a secluded place for prayer and rest where we hope the community will find a place to refresh their spirits.

The garden, vision of landscape designer Mac Hulslander, incorporates elements of Japanese landscape design, Piedmont North Carolina vernacular, and Native American spirituality.

Throughout the year the congregation moves our worship outside into the garden for the Palm Sunday processional and the Ofrenda Memorial Walk for Dia de Los Muertos created by our youth.  We are strengthened by “all the saints who from their labors rest” whose ashes are scattered in the garden.
