NewsWith shade cast over the courtyard, men scramble over the sanctuary roof removing old shingles.

After several months of reviewing various roofing options, the Property Ministry selected a contractor who was then approved by Council and the congregation. The new sanctuary roof was installed last week and looks amazing! Artisan Quality Roofing not only updated the sanctuary roof with “Silver Birch” architectural shingles but also replaced several portions of the rotted underlayment, re-enforced the rafters and created a ridge vent to keep the sanctuary cooler in the summer.

However, we’re not quite finished with roofing projects. CUCC members will discuss Property’s proposal to re-roof the Pilgrim House at the January 25 congregational meeting. If you have any questions about either of these roofing projects, please contact Property Ministry chair Merrilee Jacobson.
