Jeremiah had a tender heart, a wild imagination, and a gift for performance art. What does this prophet for a country in chaos have to tell us today?

The prophecies of Jeremiah, recorded in the Hebrew scriptures, span the period from the faithfully obedient reign of Judean king Josiah to the destruction of capital city Jerusalem and the forced deportations of the Judean population to Babylon (late 600s bce).

About the Sunday Morning Bible Study

Open to the community, this Bible study chooses a book to discuss in-depth, often pairing it with an accessible work by a Biblical scholar. This is a place to ask questions, share insights, and learn from one another.

For the Zoom information, check the Saturday Zoom email or contact Bill Lamb, group convener, at william.e.lamb@gmail.com.

We thank God for the unknown artist (possibly Augsburg artist and printmaker Hans Burgkmair) who helps us imagine Jeremiah in our times by showing us Jeremiah in his (?) times.
