Beginning Sunday, July 24, the Sunday Morning Bible Study group will begin reading the book Living Buddha, Living Christ. In this book, Thich Nhat Hanh explores the intersections of belief in Christianity and Buddhism.

Who is Thich Naht Hanh?

Thich Nhat Hanh, a Buddhist monk, scholar and activist, chaired the Vietnamese Peace Delegation during the Vietnam War. He was instrumental in the development of the practice of engaged Buddhism, which seeks to address suffering and injustice in the world. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., nominated Thich Nhat Hanh for the Nobel Peace Prize. In his lifetime he wrote more than 100 books, taught throughout the world, and founded Plum Village Monastery, a mindfulness practice center in France. He died in January of this year.
