The June property work day was a blur of activity with volunteers pulling weeds, trimming vines, scrubbing fascia, picking up a barrel of pinecones and sweeping up pine straw and leaves. A large ladder was needed to replace a lightbulb over the pulpit while “grounded” folks added a trailer load of Chapel Hill gravel to the walkway between the parking lots. Several small but visible repairs were made outdoors while indoor volunteers patched the leaking kitchen sink, scrubbed tables and high chairs and made sure our ovens and fridge were immaculate. There are always small (and large) projects on our ministry’s “to do” list, so please contact Merrilee Jacobson if you’d like to take one on before the September work day.
