Our first Tuesday Night Delight was stacked with fun! We started with a parade of pancakes that ran the gamut from yummy box mix to pyramid shapes topped with gooey ice cream to – was that caviar? and vodka? Participants panned across their kitchen vistas to reveal men in suits, children with funny hats, feathery face coverings and even a clever mask made into a mask (“mask” has a different meaning on Fat Tuesday). Did you all see the gleam in Pastor Lacey’s eye as she cascaded her cakes with way too much syrup? The group had so many guilty pleasures to share that Intern Jake made lists of those we already indulge in and those we can’t wait to get back to when we safely can. Our giggly celebration of decadence got so fun that we have saved the date for next year’s Pancake Dinner. Mark your calendar now for March 1. Here’s hoping it’ll be an in-person event for many years to come!
