Eighteen eager volunteers plowed through a long “to do” list at the final 2022 church work day. Tables and windows were washed, roofs were blown free of leaves and pine straw, bushes were trimmed, fencing was repaired, weeds and pinecones were removed and top soil was added to the children’s garden. A trailer load of limbs and leaves was gathered from near and far to be taken to the city yard waste center. The next church work day will be held in March, but projects can be tackled any time by contacting Property Ministry Chairperson Merrilee Jacobson at 919-274-4539.

While our volunteers are priceless, we like to calculate the value of their labor should we have to pay for cleaning/landscaping assistance. An hour of volunteer team is valued nationally at $29.95, so we had at least $1,100 donated by our CUCC team!
