A group of nearly 20 volunteers, strengthened by Krispy Kreme doughnuts and coffee, readied our buildings and grounds for Holy Week and Easter during the April 9 work day.
The energetic workers washed windows and communion cup holders, vacuumed air vents, removed a broken light fixture, spread a trailer-load of mulch, collected a yard waste can full of pinecones and branches from the playground,
blew off the main roof and washed the solar panels,
cleaned out the back room of the Bryan-Berry Building,
pulled weeds, trimmed bushes, removed pine straw and added compost to the Children’s Garden, reorganized the furnishings in the VFH, and removed cobwebs and added new flowers around the main building.
If you missed the fun and would like to take on a project before the June 4 work day, please contact Property Chairperson Merrilee Jacobson at 919-274-4539.
