A crew of nearly 30 volunteers checked off a long “to do” list during the first 2021 church work day. Staying safe with masks and social distancing, the group raked up mountains of leaves and pine straw, whacked bushes into submission, painted, mulched, weeded, power-washed, transplanted and landscaped. Two slippery footpaths were beautified with mulch and sand, signage was scrubbed, an old dishwasher in the Pilgrim House was removed, an impressive amount of debris was blown off the main building’s roof, year-old condiments were given a proper burial, carpentry and electrical repairs were made, and a sticky outside door was adjusted.
