On this inauguration day, we come together to do what Jesus did in uncertain times – to spend time with God with open hearts. We are mindful that Jesus lived in uncertain times, under an empire, surrounded by people who needed spiritual and physical help, needing help himself. In times of uncertainty, we may forget that God has given us agency to co-create God’s kindom. To pray is to act, allowing God space to create within us and among us the reality of love. Jesus prayed.
January 20, 7:00 – 8:00 PM, on Zoom
This hour on Zoom will include formal prayers, silence, and music. The Zoom link will be in the Monday Online Events email on January 20, or you can contact Pastor Lacey or Jane Smith for the link (before 6:00 PM that evening).
If you have questions about what to expect, contact Jane Smith (contact information in Breeze or via office.cucc@gmail.com).
There will be other opportunities to talk through the jumble in our minds and hearts – for instance, by bringing a question to Life & Faith or arranging to meet with Pastor Lacey or Pastor Santi. We will have many times to work together on projects organized by the Do Justice or Community Outreach Ministries.
