Newsfarmers with a large basket of fresh vegetables which make a typical share in the CSA

Hi, friends of our Farm to Church CSA project. Here is a great opportunity to get to know some of our farmers better. Steve and Elke (and little Ella) McCalla have offered two work day opportunities, this Saturday, January 8, and January, at their farm (135 Rocky Ridge Lane, Louisburg). Steve and Elke are beautiful people, and Ella was born as we started the CSA last January, so I know it will be a fun day.

Jane and I are interested and may go this Saturday. Let me know by Wednesday if you want to go this week, so I can tell the organizers.  I need to know if you want a meat or vegetarian hot dog, too.

Bring a mask and work glovers/pruning shears if you have them.

God bless our work together.

Saturday, January 8

If you want to make history you can be born on Saturday January 8th like Elvis Presley or you can be a part of Rocky Ridge’s First CSA Farm Volunteer Day! (Second option is more likely for most of you.) We will be reclaiming the grape trellises that have overgrown to make room to plant muscadines for you.

We look forward to working together with you!

Saturday, January 22

Can’t make history on the 8th? Come on out on the 22nd for a second chance at making history. Wow, check that out… that’s a 2nd chance on the 22nd of 2022! Please also RSVP to Gary so we know how many people to expect.
