Belinda Sledge, Accountant & Financial Consultant at the Southern Conference office of the UCC, is in seminary at Chicago Theological Seminary currently. In a recent assignment, she was asked to write an environmental justice report for her class. I have known her for some years, and she has been aware of our climate and social justice efforts. She phoned me two weeks ago to asked if she could do her report on CUCC. This was truly an honor, and I quickly said yes! This report and the video below are the result. I was moved to tears by her words about us, and she told me her prof was “blown away”.
