CUCC’s Community Outreach Ministry invites you to share the light with people served by these community groups.  Each week is a different collection.  Drop off boxes for the unwrapped toys, sweatshirts, hoodies and backpacks can be found at CUCC in the Vaughan Fellowship Hall and outside the courtyard-side narthex door.  TracFone cards can be placed in the offering plate.

December 3Loaves and Fishes Ministry – Stock up the Pride for Parents store with new toys for 3–13-year-olds.  Parents can shop at the store, selecting the gifts that are just right for each of their children.  {see note}

December 10The Women’s Center – Bring a sweatshirt or hoodie for a woman, size 2x-3x, or backpack.  Women served by The Women’s Center spend hours in all weather waiting for public transportation or walking to appointments, often carrying their belongings with them.  {see note}

December 17 InterAct – For women seeking to start a new – and safe – life, having an affordable phone is essential for job searches, finding housing, staying connected to children, and more.  Purchase TracFone $20 Unlimited Talk, Text, 1GB Data 30–Day Plan cards via Amazon using the link on the InterAct website (here).  (This is the exact card that is useful to InterAct clients.)  Order early so the card arrives for you to bring to CUCC by December 17.  Put these in the offering plate.

December 24 – or any day in December!Method Child Development Center –  Donate money for childcare scholarships to the Jan Sharp Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Write a check to “CUCC” with “____” on the memo line, select ______ from the options on our donation page, or text the amount and keyword  ______ to 919-888-4541.  {see note}   Special word coming soon.
