NewsArms in rainbow colors reach toward the sky, each holding a rainbow colored heart. Text: Staff our table at Out! Raleigh Price, June 21. Two-hour shifts, 11 AM to 7PM plus set up and clean up shifts

Each year CUCC joins Umstead Park UCC to staff a UCC table of extravagant welcome at Out!Raleigh Pride, an annual festival for all ages. We need volunteers for 2 hour shifts of smiles, conversation, Q&A about our churches, and fun hands-on activities for all ages. CUCC provides 2 volunteers on each shift. First and last shift are for set up and clean up and require the strength to tote our boxes of materials and a car for transporting them. Youth volunteers must be accompanied by a parent and are invited to sign up to join Pastor Śānti on the 11:15AM to 1PM shift. When we are closer to the event, you will be sent specific information about where our tent is and what to bring.

Sign up for your shift here.

When: June 21

What happens at Out!Raleigh Pride?

Booths line the streets as people of all ages stroll in their Pride colors and enjoy live music. You’ll find food trucks and blocks of tents featuring non-profits offering services to and advocacy alongside LGBTQ people, congregations bringing love and welcome, for-profit vendors and services. Yes, there are a very few hecklers, but the organizers are prepared for them and they won’t interrupt your fun.

Join our community as we have fun celebrating the richness of Pride culture and the wonderfulness of our LGBTQ neighbors and friends.
