Did you know that North Carolinians will be voting on three amendments to our state constitution on November 3? Justice Coffee will welcome Heba Atwa to answer our questions about the amendments when we meet on Tuesday, October 6, 8:30-9:30AM at Union Special Bread.
What are the three constitutional amendments?
Constitutional amendment to require all voters, not just those presenting to vote in person, to present photo identification before voting.
Constitutional amendment to keep the State income tax rate from being raised higher than three and one-half percent (3.5%).
Constitutional amendment requiring limits on property tax increases by local governments.

What is Justice Coffee?
Justice Coffee, sponsored by the Do Justice Ministry, is Tuesday mornings at 8:30am at Union Special Bread. This is an informal get-together to discuss the issues of the day over coffee. A focus is to discuss the frustrations and sadness many are feeling about the direction of our government at this time, but all subjects are open for discussion. All are welcome, whether part of Community UCC or not. Please come and join us if you are able and bring a friend!
Community UCC is nonpartisan and does not endorse candidates or parties. We hold community educational events about topics of interest to the public.
If you have questions about Justice Coffee, speak with convener Mike Soboeiro (contact info in Breeze or via office.cucc@gmail.com).
