NewsTell your NC friends that grant money is still available to install a level 2 EV charging station at your congregation or non-profit. Application deadline is March 31

Please spread the word to people you know who are connected to NC congregations and non-profits – grant money is still available to pay more than half of the cost of a level-2 EV charging station at their location. The final day to apply is March 31, 2023.

An easy way to help is to share this post on your social media or send a link to your friends in book clubs, running clubs, at work, etc.

CUCC received a grant which was matched by some donors; our charging station is in the process of installation.  Your friends are welcome to contact Jim Smith who is heading up our project to find out the nitty gritty of applying for the grant and overseeing the installation.

Let’s get the word out; we don’t want to let any of this money be unspent!

Details from NC Department of Environmental Quality which is operating the grants

Applications for the Level 2 Public Access Program are still being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until remaining funds are exhausted or March 31, 2023, when the application will close.  69 awarded projects (228 ports) have been announced with requesting project funding totaling $921,338.

$177,539 is still available for funding.

The grant money comes from the North Carolina Volkswagen Settlement Program.
