Three years ago, CUCC moved two pews on the pulpit side to the back of the sanctuary and replaced them with two rows of chairs. Each row had space at the end for a wheelchair and also included an arm chair for those who needed help safely standing and sitting. Recently, a member of CUCC’s “Accessible to All” (A2A) team noted that the idea behind these rows was a good one but that the space between the rows made them difficult to access safely. A decision was made to remove one of the rows to create a more accessible space. The change was made just a few weeks ago, but already more people are taking advantage of the area. \
