On April 4th, 2018, seven Catholic plowshares activists entered Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base in St. Mary’s, Georgia. They went to make real the prophet Isaiah’s command to “beat swords into plowshares.”

A good friend of Community UCC and winner of the Carolyn and Cy King Peace and Justice Award, Patrick O’Neill, was one of them.

As a result, Patrick reported to prison on January 14th for his role in the Kings Bay Plowshares 7 nonviolent disarmament action April 2018 in Georgia to begin serving the remaining 12 months of his 14-month sentence.
