Thank you for responding to our Path Forward Survey.

A 70% majority of you are in a favor of more relaxed guidelines at church. Over the next couple of weeks, there will be opportunities for fellowship and eating indoors for those who are fully vaccinated. With the cold weather setting in, we will move our after-church fellowship time into the Vaughn Fellowship Hall. In addition, Pastor Lacey will remove her mask to lead worship and other worship leaders who feel comfortable are invited to do the same. Kids of all ages will be allowed in the sanctuary and we will make plans to resume the children’s message when the time feels right. For now, we will continue to register for in-person worship.

For those who aren’t quite ready to return, we will continue to offer Zoom fellowship opportunities and hybrid worship at 10:30am. For those interested in joining Taize at 9:00am on Sundays, they continue to meet on Zoom. Email jeff.cucc@gmail.com for more information.

In all of these changes, we continue to watch the infection rates and listen to the guidance of the CDC. We know that the pandemic is not over but we now have some very important measures to help mitigate spread. If you are eligible, we encourage you to get vaccinated. Many of our children and youth have now received their Covid vaccine and many of our adults are in line to get their boosters. We are hopeful and confident that we can continue to gather as a community and stay safe. We appreciate how respectful, adaptable, and cautious the congregation has been over the last year and a half.

With hope,
Path Forward Committee
