Funding for domestic and international food programs is in danger as Congress looks to cut the federal budget. Programs like WIC serve 40 percent of U.S. infants, while overseas programs are crucial to reducing children’s deaths from malnutrition. Learn more about how these two critical food programs work and why US funding matters here.
On Sunday, May 11, stop by the Vaughan Fellowship Hall where you can sign letters to Senators Tillis and Budd and Representative Ross to encourage them to keep these programs fully funded. If you’re not in church on May 11, the letters will also be available in the VFH on the 18th and 25th. A web-based option will be shared with our online participants as well.
