Join Julie Robertson who is planning to volunteer most Tuesdays at the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.  You are welcome to volunteer any day that suits you, but we know it can be fun to work alongside someone you know.

When you sign up, select the “Warehouse Project – Raleigh” and the 1-4PM time slot (starting May 25).  If that day and time doesn’t work for you, by all means choose a different day or time for yourself.

What will I do?

“Volunteers will be providing assistance in various activities including: sorting out produce and food donations, creating CSFP and Disaster Relief boxes, packing food items such as cereal, pasta, eggs and other dry food.” In the summer we’re bagging vegetables (potentially dirty work), so wearing old, comfortable clothes is a good thing to do.

Volunteers wear masks and gloves and, at this point, the Food Bank is limiting the age range for volunteers to 16 to 60. If that changes, we will let you know.  The first page of the sign in describes their COVID-19 precautions.
