With the support of the Monday Lunch Group, Robert Parrish invites you to a White Cane Safety Day Walk, a walk to highlight the safety needs of people who are blind or visually impaired. This walk is sponsored by the Wake Federation of the Blind and is in conjunction with the City of Raleigh’s “Walktober” events.

The White Cane Safety Day Walk will take place on Friday, October 15 and will proceed from the Raleigh Municipal Building at 5:00 pm. The walk will include streets around the legislative building and courthouse area. Preliminary events which will include white cane and guide dog demonstrations, the writing of names in braille and distribution of literature about blindness will began at 4:00 p.m.
